Pollution in Delhi
These days, pollution is not showing any signs of decreasing in the country’s capital. AQI has crossed 400 at many places in the city, and every effort is being made to stop it. To reduce pollution, water was sprayed through anti-smog guns in the Anand Vihar area. In this sequence, Environment Minister Gopal Rai has held a meeting with various departments today (Friday). After which a press conference was organized. Let us tell you that yesterday (Thursday) the provisions of Grape-3 were implemented to control pollution. Along with this, 14 works have also been banned in Delhi.
Environment Minister Gopal Rai gave information
Giving information, Gopal Rai said that shuttle buses have been started from the Delhi Secretariat to the Central Secretariat and from RK Puram to the Central Secretariat. Also, all the rules are being strictly followed to get relief from construction work. He also said that keeping in mind the health of the children, the decision has been taken to keep the schools closed for the time being. He also requested that neighboring states also need to be active to control this. He said that 69 percent of Delhi’s pollution is coming from other states. Regarding this, strict steps should now be taken in Haryana and Uttar Pradesh.
Delhi Government’s strict steps
Many steps have been taken by the Delhi Government to prevent Delhi Pollution. In which it has also been decided to keep the schools closed till 5th November. So that along with the health of the children, pollution caused by their school buses can be avoided. Apart from this, orders have also been given to stop construction work. Besides, BS3 petrol and BS4 diesel vehicles have also been banned. Apart from this, the Kejriwal government has received orders for 52 machines to work for 12 hours instead of 8 hours for cleaning the roads. Besides, more than 300 tankers have been deployed to sprinkle water on the roads. Besides, the frequency of DTC buses has been increased by 4000 and the frequency of the metro has been increased.
