Now there is fear of natural havoc, snowfall and rain in Uttarkashi, Indian Army has now taken charge to evacuate the workers.

Today is the 16th day of rescue of 41 laborers trapped in the tunnel of Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand. The pipe laying work here has stopped for the last four days because the auger machine used for drilling has broken down midway. But now the havoc of nature has also started looming amidst this rescue operation. Due to which everyone is worried about this topic.

Now Indian Army soldiers are digging from the top of the hill. Till now excavation of about 20 meters has been completed but at least 86 meters of excavation remains. It is being claimed that this rescue will take four days, meanwhile an alert from the Meteorological Department has increased the tension of the personnel engaged in the rescue operation and the laborers trapped inside and their families.

In Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand, where the tunnel has sunk, there is hilly soil, due to which after light rain the soil becomes light and starts sinking. Actually, the pipe inserted inside the tunnel is resting on it, which is likely to crack after the rain. Which is a matter of danger for the expedition personnel and stranded personnel.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami himself is present there for the last several days and is personally monitoring the situation. He has opened his camp in Uttarkashi from where the remaining work of the Chief Minister’s office is being done. But due to continuous delay in the campaign and now snowfall and rain alert being issued, the morale of the family members is breaking.
