Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge issued an official statement, “The indiscriminate bombing on the hospital in Gaza and residential areas resulting in the loss of hundreds of lives of innocent men, women and children is both unjustifiable and a grave humanitarian tragedy for which the perpetrators must be held accountable. ”
Though he has not taken name of any side on this, as the statements from both sides blame each other for bombing. Earlier on 8th Oct 2023 the INC has condemned the attack on Israel by Hamas. In the same paragraph the INC has termed the military action by Israel forces “unacceptable” terming it as action on civilians. Indian National Congress has reiterated their support for the Palestine people for their sovereign state rights. Calls for an immediate Cease fire and humanitarian assistance to the people of Gaza.
