24th Foundation Day of Uttarakhand
On the occasion of the 24th State Foundation Day of Uttarakhand, President Draupadi Murmu congratulated the people of the state including CM Dhami and Governor Lieutenant General (Army) Gurmeet Singh.
President Draupadi Murmu had a darshan of Lord Badri Vishal on Wednesday. While worshiping in the temple for about 25 minutes, the President prayed for the happiness, prosperity, and prosperity of the country. His Excellency President Draupadi Murmu reached Badrinath Army Helipad at 10:20 am on Wednesday by Indian Air Force helicopter amid tight security arrangements. At the helipad, Governor Lieutenant General (Retd) Gurmeet Singh and Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, Badri Kedar Temple Committee Chairman Ajendra Ajay, other public representatives along with District Magistrate Himanshu Khurana and Superintendent of Police Rekha Yadav welcomed the President.
Chief Minister Dhami presented a replica of Badrinath temple made on Bhojpatra, Aarti, and a basket of local products to the President on the temple premises. After offering puja at the temple, President Murmu left for HNB Garhwal University in Srinagar to address the convocation ceremony. Tight security arrangements were made by the administration at the Dham for the President’s visit. Also, all arrangements were made in Gauchar under the contingency plan.

President Draupadi Murmu said, “I convey my best wishes to all the citizens of the state for the development of Uttarakhand. The development of the state is gaining direction and strength under the guidance of the Governor and the active leadership of the CM.” The President congratulated the entire state team including Governor Gurmeet Singh and CM Dhami and said, “I believe that with the blessings of the Gods and Goddesses, the residents of this prosperous state will definitely reach the heights of happiness, prosperity, and development.”
During this time, the President also mentioned his visit to Uttarakhand in December last year and said, every opportunity of coming to Uttarakhand is like gaining the virtue of pilgrimage.
