Pakistan to Hold Elections on February 11

After months of uncertainty, Pakistan to hold general elections on 11th February 2024

Sajeel Swati, the council of Election Commission of Pakistan, said, "the process of drawing constituencies would be completed by 29th January."

This coincides with negotiations between Pakistan and IMF for USD 710 million loan release.

The decision has garnered mixed reactions from political parties in Pakistan.

The ECP earlier ruled out polls this year citing for fresh delimitation of constituencies.
