Centuries-old Skeleton with Prosthetic Hand found

Archaelogists find centuries-old skeleton with a prosthetic hand in Germany

The man died some time between 1450 and 1620 as per carbon dating. The age might be between 30-50 years old as per results.

The remains were found in a grave near a church in Freising, approx. 40 km north of Munich.

The fingers on the left hand seems to be amputated and the remains were surrounded in a hollowed-out case.

As per the archaelogists, this reveals the advanced state of the medicine at the time.

A bandage-like fabric was also found inside the hand.
