But now there is a proposal to increase their number to 78. In such a situation, those making advertisements for these prohibited diseases or conditions for the first time can be punished with six months in jail or a fine, or both. And if the same is done further, it could be increased to 5 years in jail and a fine of Rs 50 lakh could also be imposed.
